1 What we receive
Through the request form
- Always: your name; whether you are writing as a professional kitchen, a retailer or distributor, an individual or other; your email; your town or ZIP code; and whether you would like a tasting, availability and pricing, or both.
- For a business: the business name (an individual does not have to give one).
- If you choose to add them: a phone number and a note.
- Added by the site: the product the request is about (if you came from a product page), the date and time, and a reference number that lets us recognise the same request sent twice.
When you call or email us
We receive what you include — typically your name, business, contact details and message.
Technical information
Like any website, ours is delivered by a hosting provider, Cloudflare, which processes standard request data — such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested — to deliver the site, protect it from misuse and give us aggregated traffic and security statistics. The request form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a request comes from a person; Cloudflare’s privacy policy (opens in a new tab) applies to that check.
2 Where your request goes
When you send the form, it travels over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to our website host, Cloudflare, and is delivered as an email to our inbox through Resend, an email delivery service. If it can’t be delivered, the form tells you and keeps what you typed, so you can try again, email us or call us.
If your browser doesn’t run the site’s scripts, the form opens your own email app instead, and nothing reaches us until you send that email.
3 How we use it
- To reply to you, arrange a tasting, and send the availability and pricing you ask for.
- If you become a customer: to take, deliver and invoice your orders, and for the email, accounting, record-keeping and order operations that go with them.
- To protect the website and the request form from misuse.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We don’t sell or rent personal information. Requests sent through the form are not added to a mailing list.
4 Cookies and similar technologies
We don’t use advertising or analytics cookies, and this website doesn’t use third-party advertising or tracking tools. Cloudflare may set cookies that are needed for security, for example when it checks for automated traffic. If you choose the Light or Dark theme, or the alternative typography, your browser stores that choice on your own device; it isn’t sent to us. Our fonts are served from our own site.
5 Service providers
- Cloudflare: hosting, the request form, security and the Turnstile check.
- Resend: delivers form requests to our inbox.
- Our business email provider: email you send us and requests delivered by email.
- Food Liability Insurance Program (FLIP): the insurance seal on some pages is loaded from fliprogram.com, which receives standard request data when your browser displays it. Its link opens their site, which has its own privacy policy.
- Business tools: if you become a customer, the providers we use for invoicing, accounting, file storage and order operations process what those tasks need.
These providers process information to provide their services to us, under their own terms and privacy policies. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
6 How long we keep it
We keep requests for as long as we need them to respond and follow up. Customer and order records are kept for as long as our business needs them and as tax, accounting and other legal obligations require.
7 Your choices
You can ask what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to [email protected]. We may keep some information where the law requires it or an exception applies — for example, records of completed orders and invoices.
8 Children
This site is not directed at children.
9 Changes
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
